Meet the makers
of KVIE's New Valley...
Executive
Producer: J.
GREENBERG
J. grew up in Massachusetts, but has spent the better part
of the decade living in California. He got his first taste of video
production in high school, and studied film at Boston's Emerson College.
After stints at a special effects studio and UCLA Extension's Writers
Program, J. became the Programming Coordinator for Brookline Access
Television. Since joining KVIE in 1999, he's worked as a producer, editor,
and/or videographer on such shows as Money
Moves, Off Limits, Central
Valley Chronicles, and Spice of Life. In his spare time,
J. publishes the online film journal Kabinet.

Producer: PAT McCONAHAY
Pat McConahay has served as television news anchor and reporter at KTXL
(Sacramento), KTVN (Reno), as well as for radio stations KPNW (Eugene,
Oregon), KINS (Eureka) and reported for KCBS-AM (San Francisco). She
has produced many outstanding documentaries and specials for KVIE, such
as the Arts Alive series and interview programs on community
issues. From 1985 to 1989, Pat was "the voice of Channel 6"
providing voice-overs for the station's announcements, identification
and narration for many of its programs. She has also been on the other
side of the microphone, representing California's governmental agencies,
associations and politicians, as press secretary and communications
director. An accomplished producer, Pat has won many awards for her
work, including the California Teachers Association Best Education Coverage
Award and Sigma Delta Chi Awards for stories on the wine industry and
various news series. Her award-winning documentaries include: Sacramento's
Hmong: The Lost Refugees, Hospice: A Caring Way to Die and CSEA:
Through the Years. Pat McConahay is actively involved in many community
organizations as President of the Board of Directors for the Sacramento
Vocational Services and Board Member for the International Association
of Business Communicators, Sacramento Chapter.

Producer: SORRELL FOWLER
Sorrell was raised in the Central Valley town of Marysville. After graduating
from California State University, Chico with a degree in communication
design she took a job with the Sacramento NBC affiliate, KCRA, as a
promotion producer. She came to KVIE in June of 2000 to work on the
award winning program, California Heartland. She has also worked
on other KVIE productions such as: Caring and Coping: Living with
Alzheimer's, Are We There Yet? and Kids, Cash and Common
Sense.

Producer: BRYAN SHADDEN
Bryan has been with KVIE Channel 6 since October 2002. Born and raised
in Salem, Oregon, Bryan spent nearly three years working as a firefighter/EMT
before deciding to pursue a career in television. After earning a degree
in Communication Design from California State University, Chico, Bryan
made the move to Sacramento where he worked at the CBS affiliate KOVR
13. Since his arrival, Bryan has produced stories for New Valley,
California Heartland and Central Valley Chronicles.
