A
New Valley Town Hall
on Healthcare
What's in store
for our healthcare system as our diverse and growing population puts
increasing strain on institutions providing care? Is the "Heartbeat
of Healthcare" still going strong in the Central Valley?
Join us at 8:00pm
on Friday, September 20 as we present the seventh episode
in our New Valley series. Our cameras
will focus on the plight of the medically uninsured. We'll see how new
technologies and new management techniques are providing for the health
needs of our rural citizens; bringing health care to the agricultural
heartland. We'll also visit the University of California at Davis where
new biomedical are being made. And we'll look at the rising costs of
prescription drugs, and search for ways to keep those costs in check.
And stay tuned immediately
after New Valley for a special "New
Valley Town Hall" on healthcare. Hosts Jennifer Fischer
and Pat McConahay probe such topics as teen pregnancy and the
nursing shortage, with insight and testimony from a panel of experts
including: Noe Paramo, head of the Stanislaus County Children
and Families Commission; Roger Speed, Director of Health Care
Services in San Joaquin County; and Vicki Bermudez of the California
Nurses Association.
Be sure to join
us on Friday, September 20 at 8pm
